Dermabrasion Information Guide

dermabrasion, hampshire

What is Dermabrasion?

Dermabrasion is a non invasive, non-surgical procedure which uses a highly controlled spray of fine crystals to remove the outer layer of skin and reveal the younger, tighter, and more radiant skin underneath. It is suitable for blackheads, acne, oily skin, some scarring, sun-damaged skin and superficial age spots.

How long does it take?

Dermabrasion takes less than half an hour.

Does it hurt?

The dermabrasion itself feels like an emery board on the skin. If it is incorporated with a peel you may feel a slight tingling sensation. Afterward you will feel as if you have had a very deep facial and your skin will look much fresher and more 'alive'. You may look a little flushed afterwards and there is little or no down time.

How often will I need treatment.

A course of treatment is recommended and your skin will be assessed at each visit. Dermabrasion is normally done at two weekly intervals.

Is your complexion dull? Is your skin dry, are wrinkles appearing?
